The European Enamel Authority (EEA) has been established at the initiative of the National Vitreous Enamellers Institutes of Austria, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain and The Netherlands with the editing, managing and controlling of the harmonised "Quality Requirements" as its most important task.

This initiative is a victory for European cooperation, but above all a victory for the end user. The enamel he chooses, bearing the EEA quality label, offers guarantees. Good, open, independent and verifiable guarantees. Guarantees that force the producer to do his utmost to protect the consumer against inferior quality. Because the consumer requires assured quality, the EEA label is an extra guarantee for that.
